New Moon

October has flown by in a whirl wind of amazing and interesting adventures. Let's start over and get some focus... we love you New Moon!

The circle starts this coming Tuesday! Oct 28th, we gather in my living room and magic will happens. 6-9pm! call or email for directions...

Here are some of the intentions behind the circle:

Community- a place when we can let down our masks and practice being our authentic selves- yes that does mean you get to come and be grumpy, there is no need to pretend you are anything but what and where you are.

Ritual- bringing the sacred back into daily living. A place where ritual does not come with a rule book and you get to do things your own way. Including doing something totally different from the rest of the group.

Creation- a monthly gathering to celebrate the successes and renew the intentions and desires you want to attract to you. You are a master manifestor, get some help making it so.

Self Care- a place to gather and learn teachings to care for the self. 3 hours of renewal for you- monthly. Don't you feel better already?

Gratitude- being thankful for this time, a place to laugh people to laugh with, a place to cry and a place to share triumphs and seek help and support when extra attention or physical help is needed.

The first month you attend you are our guest. Please introduce yourself and explore the circle. Each month varies so be open to really connecting to the people, not the activity.

After your first session the circle is $15 a month, cash or checks are welcome.

Magic happens when small groups gather with the soul intention of expanding their soul. Blessings and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Time

"We have what we seek. It is there all the time, and if we give it time it will make itself known to us."
Thomas Merton

Journal Activities
how do you really wish to conduct your life?
what would you no longer tolerate?
what activities would you no longer participate in?
is there anybody you would remove?

Walking Meditation
leave all watches and time pieces here and then journey out into the world for what you believe to be 20 minutes. Just notice if you can let go and be present or if you are constantly aware or stressed about time. See how long you were actually gone, and if you were able to relax and enjoy your time.

Journal
plan your ideal day... time you wake up until the time you go to sleep, what would it include. This is a real life day so be sure to include work, if you work.

After discussing this with the group I shared that I find it useful to make an ideal schedule for each season as I like to include tea out in my garden first thing in the summer but would not be likely to do this in the winter.

"When God made Time, he made enough of it."

chocolate prophecies

I just ate a Dove chocolate and the message inside told me to make a list of my dreams, which reminded me to actually post about Thursdays circle.

First we played with moon magic. Tonight, Sunday, is a full moon so we made three lists. First a list of things to release. On the full moon the moon is at it's greatest power, in the coming weeks it will shed it's light until 14 days from now it will be dark. In this time it is the perfect time to make a list of the things you need to release and burn or bury then so their hold on you can dissipate with the energy of the moon.

We also made two list to keep, one was of things you are thankful for in your life and one was of things you desire. The idea with this process is to do these two lists every 3-4 months and check to see if the things you are thankful for in your life were ever on your desire list. It is a sneaky way to keep track of your ability to manifest things in your life.

We drew cards from the Goddess deck and did brief intuitive reading for each other, stating only one word "hits" we got from looking at the card.

There was a brief talk about mythology, specifically origin mythology. I sent out a challenge to anyone who wanted to accept it to play with their ideas about the origin of the universe and humans. My intention behind this process is to develop a relationship with the way you view the world and it's stories. Some of us hold on to beliefs that no longer serve us but we don't realize we are holding on to them until we look deeper into ourselves and explore key issues. If there is conflict between the truth you are holding in your body (the one given to you growing up) and the belief you hold in your heart (the one you choose) there will be difficulties in making things happen in life. The conflict needs to be resolved and old beliefs need to be gently returned to family and society. If we know and understand how we believe the universe works, we can control the outcome of our daily existence a bit more. Spend some time journaling or collecting images about the way you believe the universe and humans came to be. This may take awhile to find all your stories. Then gently read or look through them and see if any are no longer authentic to who you are now. If so bless them and allow them leave.

Following this was a discussion of happiness. It seems to be my work right now to play with the idea of happiness and so I shared some of my insights. From all the articles and books I have been reading three things stood out most as to what made people happiest. Permission to fail, having the ability to take risks, follow dreams and know that there is a support system there to back you up seems key to me. Connection, specifically to other people and to nature. With out connection we are alone, how can there be happiness if there is no person or object of natural beauty to invoke, experience or participate with. Service if you find small ways to help other people, animals or the planet you are most likely a happier person.

We had a great discussion about these ideas and other thoughts were brought up by the group.

Last we played with manifestation. I had asked the group to bring something they were working on manifesting. We share challenges we had with choosing, scary manifestation stories that needed to be healed and read a great passage from the book Eat,Pray, Love about manifesting and having people spiritually sign your petition. We chatted while eating beautiful food and drinking tea and ripped pages out of magazines so that we could visually see the images or writing on a daily basis. For me, I have found that this daily bumping into the thing you are manifesting helps focus my energy and therefore manifest my desire in a more wholly formed way.

Last I left a suggestion for starting a journal solely devoted to Miracles, Blessings and Gratitude. Noticing the small everyday miracle, blessings and moments of gratitude can only serve to make you a happier person, more focused on the here and now , full of hope and waiting for the delight as you spot the next moment of small magic that enters your life daily.

Thursday Circle This Week

Yes the second Thursday of the month circle is happening on the third week this month :D Just to keep you on your toes!

This month we will be playing with the concepts of myth, happiness, and manifesting.

Please bring a journal and figure out something you are trying to bring into the Real World... "Any picture you image, if focused on daily for an extended period of time, cannot help but appear in your outer world." If you come across any images or quotes in the next couple of days that express this please bring them with you as we will be beginning work on a visual (picture or written) for you to keep close.

Please feel free to bring anyone who might be interested and RSVP so I know how many chairs to have about :D and email me if you need directions to my home!

home sweet home

i got to play with my new circle this week and wanted to do a quick update and do resource list so everyone can take advantage of what happened in group :D

we played with some questions:
*how do you currently use your home? would you like to change this in any way?
*use descriptive words to describe your home? are there any negatives in the list? if so is there a simple action you could take to transform that.
*if your home could tell a story about it's life what would it be?
*do you feel safe in your home? why or why not? is there any action you could take that would make you feel safer?
*imagine your favorite room in your home? feel how the energy is different here? is there anyway to take this energy through your entire home and would you want to?
*have you thought about ways to make your home more sustainable? what is one or more of the blocks keeping you from doing these actions? would a group or resources help?

we did a journey
start in your favorite room of your home. connect with the energy here. slowly imagine this room filling with golden light. when all the space of this room is filled with golden light walk around the rest of your home filling every nook and cranny with golden light. notice if there are any areas that are harder to do. do not judge just notice. when your entire home is filled with light extend this out into the surrounding area, take it only as far as you'd like one home over or several miles. now extend this energy up towards the sky and connect to divine energy allowing this to enter your home and continuously recharge and protect it. finally extend the energy down into the earth. noticing the condition of the earth surrounding your home and filling it with golden light, notice if there are any areas that need extra attention. gently work to connect heaven and earth with your home in the center of this divine golden light.

we did another journey
take 5 minutes to dream the big dream of your perfect home. explore color, texture, sound, plants, furniture, space, features and more. allow yourself to get carried away with all of the impossible and impractical things. get in touch with the small child that lives inside you and allow then to have a say in plotting your dream home.

now take another 5 minutes and write down and or draw all of these ideas.

are there any ways in which you can incorporate your dreams into your physical space? maybe a picture or a plant or a bit of cloth. ideally we want to begin to live each day and be reminded by the things that delight us and this will begin to change our reality so we can create and finance the bigger dreams.

for protection
this is a spell that works to protect your home from negative events and people, you can use this in a free standing house or in a condo/apartment.

in a jar with a screw on lid collect
dirt from the surrounding area, this anchors your home
something shiny, this attracts light
rusty bent nail, this repels negativity
assorted herbs of your choice, depending on the herbs these are for blessing, purifying or other qualities of your desire
new penny or coin, for abundance

bury all the above in the jar on your property. if you live in a condo or apartment bury the jar in a potted plant

resources:
one of the women in our group suggested this website as a tool to help you become more sustainable in your home. you can also register to be a Good Neighbor and let others know you care about the environment.
